Bridlington

Brid was bloody funny, acomplished alot and got alot of good training in.

I woke up at 6 a.m had my wheaterbix, a shower, stuck my pk gear on, and got to the train station, i caught the train up to leeds were i met up with Liam, Guy and Tee Pee.
Had a prity hillarious trip down to Brid on the train, though Tee Pee isnt physically able to sit down for more than two minutes, all those sugary drinks...
well we got to Brid and i was prity damn exited actually, almost as much as the first time i went to a leeds jam.

We started off muckin about on a plain of grass with and electrical box perfect for climb ups and a tree right next to it aswell while we waited for Ben (a cool traceur from Brid who took us around the town). I did some nice climb ups and tree work while waiting for Ben aswell as working on my rolls which are starting to improve now.

Ben got there after about half an hour which was actually perfect amount of time to get warmed up and focused before we headed off.

first spot we hit was by a river with nice precision's and some good tree's with one perfectly made for an underbar. Guy cleared the river with me following after, we trecked up the other side abit finding a dusty place filled with mozys, the place probably had potential but i really wasnt up for getting bitten to peice's and breathing in aspestos.

We moved round back to the side were Liam, Ben and Tee Pee were and i worked on turn vaults then drops and some precisions.

Me and Guy decided to clear the river again discovering there really wasnt anything on the other side so we were looking at a short way back, Guy spotted one, it had a prity poor run up goin down hill but it seemed doable, Guy cleared it no problem trecked up the hill and joined Liam ect, my turn...
i counted myself in ran jumped, cleared it fine landed on the same spot as guy, but...
slowly tilted back and thought "shit", droping in quite a shallow river drenching my trousers, as hilarious as it was my trousers were soakkked making them damn heavy and impossible to land precisions.

So me, Guy and Tee Pee trecked up the road finding an RSPCA charity shop XD. were i found the scumys, cheapest, chavyest trackys money can buy (one pound) honestly there like regects from the libirachi house of crap, there like netto bags stuck together then painted blue.
Never mind i wasnt in my own city nothing to be imbaressed about, and these ones are waterproof :P

We walked back up the road to meet liam and that again, stopping to try some things, arm jumps, really small standing roof gap.

So we trecked around the town going to a bunch of amazing spots, they were actually some of the best spots for parkour iv ever been to. We got to nice plain of grass for Guy, Liam n Tee Pee to practice tricking off a nice slope, were i landed on my face twice from fronts because im smooth.

Then just as were heading off because Tee Pee was moaning he wanted chips, i spotted an amazing looking arm jump over a flight of stairs, i bottled out about 4 times, and on the 5th i did it but quite scetchy, then i did it again with a camera there and got my technique a bit better and dinoed strait for the top bar (there was three bars i arm jumped to the lowest)
I did it one final time to get a second camera angle were i got the landing and techinque alot better, so i left that feeling happy with myself.

The rest of the day we just went to around different spots doing technical stuff.
At the end of the day we just crashed out on a beach and practiced flips, and i tryed my first ever backtuck XD
i plan to learn them properly on the gym day tuesday.

We caught the train by the skin of out teeth because Tee Pee and Guy stopped at every shop on the way to the station, as well as guy telling the chip shop women he loves here, but she broke his heart...

caught the train home, had a great day, thanks again Ben for taking us round.

Cheers.

Wales

Wales was incredible, i have never felt so close to nature and spirituely aware.
Firstly just had the three hour drive down there which wasnt to bad but il skip that out of the story becouse its not very interetesting...
we pitched up the tent quite quickly once we were on the site in Llemberis, i was eager to get some pk training in so i quickly had a go around the woods by the side of the camp site before setting off to the rocks and boulders, i did some lachi's, underbars/underbranches? and some body drops as well as some general just climbing around the tree's.

We soon set off after id had a little hours session in the woods, i got comfortable with my suroundings to start with by just trecking around the rocks, i also soon realised how much i had to concentrate on my landings since there is no smooth surfaces like there are in the citys.
Arm jumps were also quite interesting as i had to check then double check the small holds my hands would be grabbing onto. Its hard to explain how it is doin parkour on the rocks, everything is so compact so your constentally moving and seeing new oportunitys, the ground there is actually quite weird, its exactally like a gym floor its so compact and springy, which was good for working on my rolls as i rarley actually work on them.

So we finished off and i was shattered and went to the legendary Petes eats to have a meal.
Afterwards i couldnt resist, though full of food, going and checking out the spots around the village. i found an ok spot were i just "wowed" some of the locals with a front of a highish platform, a diving kong and flag.

DAY TWO.

Early that morning we walked seven miles to the top of snowdon in a prity fast time stood around at the sumit for ten minutes or so looked at the cool veiw then started trecking in down the seven miles back down, we got about one mile down when i noticed one of the most beautiful sites of my life and no i wasnt looking in the mirror... "Lin Ardui" (black lake) me and my dad decided we had to go down there since it was completely empty and just looked amazing.

My parkour came in quite handy actually getting down the masive rocky hill using standing jumps and quick footwork moving my way down. I got there and it was perfect silence not a person to be seen apart from my dad climbing halfway down, completly cut off from the rest of the world it seemed, the lake was in the middle of a valley half covered by the shadow of the mountain, i sat by the side of the lake with my feet in the water reflecting on life and my journey into parkour so far.

cutting a long story short we adventured back to the tent stopping at Petes along the way grabbing some food.

I got to about one in the morning and i couldnt sleep at all so i used going to the toilet as an excuse to go for walk, i was walking up a hill when i just saw a sheep dog apear from the shadows, it started just pracing around me abit and then just sat infront of me so i stroked it for a bit then headed off but the dog decided to come with me so i let it, i went into the woods id gone in the first day, climbed some trees being carefull of that minor inconvenience of pitch black.

i continued just walking around thinking to myself with the dog by my side which i wouldnt be able to see without the small amount of white of on its coat.

it got to about 3 when i decided it was time to make a move back to the tent i said my goodbye's to the dog once i got to the tent were it went back up to the farmers house and layed under a jeep.

DAY THREE

saw the dog a little bit in the morning, packed up, went home.

Great trip.
